By booking a session, purchasing a program, or downloading a resource from thesecuritylane.com, you agree to these terms. TheSecurityLane LLC is a California limited liability company. Questions can be sent to nlane@thesecuritylane.com.

Services

TheSecurityLane provides cybersecurity career coaching and related digital products, including:

• Quick Win Session — a single 60-minute 1-on-1 coaching call
• Career Launch Package — a 90-day 1-on-1 coaching program
• VIP Intensive Day — a single-day intensive coaching session
• Digital downloads and courses (for example, the Cybersecurity Career Roadmap PDF and Security+ Crash Course)
• Group cohort programs, when offered

Payment

Quick Win Sessions are booked and paid directly through Calendly and Stripe. Career Launch and VIP Intensive begin with a free discovery or info call to confirm fit before any payment. The Career Launch Package can be paid in full or in 3 installments. If you're on a payment plan and stop paying, access to remaining sessions ends and amounts already paid are non-refundable.

Cancellations and refunds

• Quick Win Session — no cash refunds after booking. Free rescheduling with 24 hours' notice.
• Career Launch Package — full refund available within 7 days of signing, as long as your first session hasn't occurred yet. Once your first session has taken place, the program is non-refundable.
• VIP Intensive Day — non-refundable once your deposit is paid. Free rescheduling with 7 or more days' notice.
• Group Cohort — full refund before community access is granted; non-refundable once access is granted.
• Digital downloads (Roadmap PDF, Security+ Crash Course) — all sales are final once the file is delivered, given the nature of digital products.

No guarantee of outcome

Coaching is educational and advisory. We do not guarantee that you will pass any certification exam, obtain a job offer, or achieve any particular career outcome. Your results depend on factors outside our control, including your own effort, the job market, and employer decisions.

No professional advice

Coaching services are educational and informational only. They are not licensed career counseling, financial, tax, immigration, or legal advice, and nothing discussed in a session should be treated as such. Decisions about your career, finances, or employment are yours to make, and you're responsible for them.

Confidentiality and recordings

Session recordings, where included, are provided for your personal reference only and may not be shared or redistributed. What you share in a session is kept confidential and won't be disclosed to third parties, except as needed to deliver the service (for example, scheduling through Calendly) or as required by law. If we ever want to reference your story publicly, such as in a testimonial or case study, we'll ask for your permission first.

Intellectual property

Roadmap documents, study plans, course materials, and other resources provided as part of a program are for your personal use only. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute them without our written permission.

Conduct

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service to anyone who is abusive, engages in fraud, or otherwise acts in bad faith toward TheSecurityLane or its staff.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold TheSecurityLane LLC harmless from any claim, loss, or expense arising from your misuse of the materials provided, your violation of these terms, or actions you take based on coaching advice.

Disclaimer of warranties

Our services and materials are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheSecurityLane LLC's total liability for any claim arising from these services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Dispute resolution

Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at nlane@thesecuritylane.com so we can try to resolve the issue directly. Any dispute that can't be resolved this way will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Riverside County, California, and both parties consent to that venue.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
